Syed Abid Ali Shah Memorial 1st Pakistan National Rated Chess Championship concludes successfully

Sibt, Faisal and Ibne Hassan claims first three spots in the 2019 Syed Abid Ali Shah Memorial Pakistan National Rated Chess Championship which successfully concluded at Shah Taj Hotel in Lahore.

Sibt Ali was the most talented player most several other skilled players who competed with all their efforts in this mega chess championship, as he cliched the title as well as the cash award of Rupees 5,000. 

He was followed on the runner up position by Faisal Khan while Ibne Hassan Babar and Muhammad Rizwan Durrani managed the third and fourth spots. Aamir Butt, Syed Muhammad Adil Hassan, Mahver Abbas, Hamid Hassan, Zorez Shabkhez and Ehtesham Ul Haq were among the other players to secure 5th to 10th positions. 

The runner up bagged 3,000 Rupees worth of cash price while 4th to 10th positions holders were also awarded with 2,000, 1,500 and 1,000.

Chess Association of Punjab (CAP) and PAK Chess Club (PCC) jointly organized this chess event, for the very first time, which was named as "Syed Abid Ali Shah Memorial Pakistan National Rated Chess Championship".

This event was held in collaboration with Chess Federation of Pakistan (CFP) and was hosted by Chess Association of Punjab (CAP) and Lahore District Chess Association (LDCA).

Total rounds were 5 with time control of 20+10 and the competitions begun from 07:00 PM and continued till midnight, in the honorable presence of chief guest, Syed Wasif Ali Shah.
