Pakistan beat India 40-29 to claim Tri-Nation Kabaddi Taakra 2019

The Tri-Nation Kabaddi Taakra 2019 concluded successfully with Pakistan Greens crushing the arch-rivals India on a 40-29 score-line at Punjab Stadium in Lahore.

 
Pakistan Green kabaddi team recorded a convincing and easy win over the arch-rivals India by thrashing them on a total score of 40-29 and grabbed the title of the series along with Rs. 1 million worth of cash prize. 


Whereas Pakistan Whites kabaddi team also defeated the other participating nation; Iran by 31-24 score and bagged the third spot in the series.

Pakistan Greens kabbadi team showed great kabaddi skills and dominated the proceedings right from the beginning as the players were fast pace on the ground with Musharraf Janjua, Jaabar Kamboh, Shafiq Chishti, Khalid Bhatti demonstrating their excellent performances in both raiding and stopping throughout the match. At the half time, Pakistan Greens were leading by 23-15 points and later ended the game on 40-29 of the total score.

However, Indian kabaddi players did not stay behind as they also exhibited wonderful performance but they could not score enough points to win against Pakistan. Indian skipper Partap Singh and his players Harjeet Singh, Sandeep Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Naresh and Mikki were the players who managed to score the most points for their team but stands on the runner-up spot bagging Rs. 500,000.

Musharraf Janjua and Jaabar Kamboh were adjudged best stopper and raider of main final match, respectively. In the 3rd and 4th place clash, the honors of best stopper and raider went to Nafees Gujjar and Irfan Mana, respectively to which they were awarded with 25,000 PKR each. 


Whereas, Rs. 16 Lac worth of cash prizes were given to the participating teams as well.

Punjab Senior Minister, Abdul Aleem Khan, Sports Minister, Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti, Minister for Industries, Commerce and Investment, Mian Aslam Iqbal, Pakistan Kabaddi Federation (PKF) President, Shafay Hussain, Secretary Sports Punjab, Nadeem Mehboob, Director General Sports Punjab, Nadeem Sarwar and DG Iran Consulate, Ali Akbar Rezai were the honorable chief guests who witnessed the finale of the series and also distributed prizes among the leading performers of the tournament.  

The Three Nation Kabaddi Series was being organized by Punjab Government in collaboration with Pakistan Kabaddi Federation (PKF) which featured Kabaddi teams from three different nations including: India, Iran and Pakistan.

Kabaddi players belonging from these three nations were seen competing with all their skill and passion for the sport so as to win the title of the series.
