Pakistan beat Korea 3-0 to move into semis at Asian Games Squash

4th seeded Pakistan defeated Republic of Korea by 3-0 to book berth into the semifinal of Men’s squash team event in Asian Games 2018.

 
4th seeded Pakistan defeated Republic of Korea by 3-0 to book berth into the semifinal of Men’s squash team event as Asim khan, Tayyab Aslam and Israr Ahmad lead Pakistan to win in Asian Games 2018 being played at Jakarta, Indonesia from 18 August, 02 September, 2018. Pakistan Squash Contingent comprising of 04 men player, 04 women player & 03 officials participating in the event. 

In the first match Asim Khan overpowered Ko Youngjo in tough 5 games battle. Asim faced fair bit to resistance against Korean player but he continued his aggressive play to win the match by 3-1 with the final score line of 11-8 12-10 10-12 11-8.

In the second match, Israr Ahmed produced a skill full game as he overpowered Lee Nyeon by 3-0. Pakistani star didn't allowed Korean player to play freely to win the match with the final scoreline of 11-5, 11-4, 11-6 .

In the third match, Tayyab Aslam proved too hot for Lee Seungteak as the top seed of Pakistan started brightly to won the first game with the margin of 10 points. Twenty-two years old from Lahore continued his aggressive play to won the second game by 11-5. Tayyab face fair bit of resistance against Korean player but he successfully shut the doors by taking the third game at 11-8 to book the berth into the semifinal by 2-
0.
