Ahsan and Shahjahan move into quarterfinal of $5000 Men’s Vitesse Stortford Classic 2018

Pakistani squash players Ahsan Ayaz and Shahjahan Khan defeated their opponents to move into the quarterfinal of $5000 Men’s Vitesse Stortford Classic 2018 played at Bishop's Stortford Squash & Racketball Club, England.

Young Shahjahan Khan outplayed thirty one years old Vini Rodriques of Brazil by 3-1. Vini put a shiny start as he won the first game by 11-7 but in the second game 5th seed Shahjahan Khan came back strongly as he started playing aggressively to win the game by 11-9. In the third game Quetta-born player produced a skillful game as he won with a margin of 7 points. Shahjahan once again kept his calm to win the fourth game by 11-9 and move into the quarterfinal after 47 minutes struggle.

Today Shahjahan khan will play against 2nd seed Patrick Rooney of England in the quarterfinal at 8:00pm (PST). 
Top seed Ahsan Ayaz defeated twenty three years old Miles Jenkins from England by 3-0 in a thrilling competition. Left handed player from Peshawar faced hard resistance from the English player in all the games as both tried hard to get a place in the quarterfinal but the match ended in Ahsan’s favor with a score line of 13-11,13-11, 11-8 in 48 minutes struggle.

Today Ahsan Ayaz will face Michael Harris from England in the quarterfinal of $5000 Men’s Vitesse Stortford Classic.
