NURPUR Para National Taekwondo Championship starts tomorrow
NURPUR para National Taekwondo Championship 2018 to be held tomorrow after a formal opening ceremony at the WAPDA sports complex, Indoor Hall, Lahore.
NURPUR para National Taekwondo Championship will start tomorrow while Para Athletes and officials arrived at Lahore to take part in the championship. An impressive and uniquely Taekwondo-style Opening Ceremony will be held before the start of championship.
The primary purpose to hold such an event is to give awareness of Para Taekwondo at National Level as well as to boost these athletes because disability is not inability, an official said while talking to media. “It is one of the noble cause to support such athletes who not only bring good name of our country at National Level but also at International Arena” the official added.
Athletes taking part in the event are mostly aged between 18-25 and will compete for 25 Gold, 25 Silver and 50 Bronze Medals in this Mega Event of Para Taekwondo. The best athlete of the event will participate in Asian Para Championship May 2018 at Vietnam. The demonstration teams will also show their skills to make this Mega Event more colorful. Special Cash Prizes and trophies will also be given to the successful participants.
Patron Pakistan Taekwondo Federation Lt Gen Javed Iqbal, HI (M) is supporting to hold the event while main sponsors of the event are NURPUR (Fauji Foods) alongwith co-sponsors Butterfly LED, Kareem, Starpak, Gem Prints, Nizam Packages and Ahmed Packages.
