Asim Khan wins Malaysian Tour-II squash title

Asim Khan outplayed Malaysian Mohammad Shafiq Kamal to win the title of $5000 Malaysian Tour-II as he won third successive tournament in a row.

Khan starched the match to its limits and defeated the world number 94 local boy 3-2 by 11-5, 9-11, 10-12, 11-6, 11-5 in the final of Malaysian Tour-II squash tournament.

Asim won the third title in a row in the year 2018 where he first won the title of $10,000 tournament in Iran and then a week back, he also won the Malaysian Tour-I tournament by defeating local boy and now once again he beat another local to win the 3rd consecutive tournament.

Asim easily downed Malaysian in the first game by 11-5 but world no.94 player thrashed Asim in next two games by 11-9 and 12-10 and took lead by 2-1. As Asim was 1 game down, he came out of his shell and started playing aggressively against Malaysian opponent as he did not allow Shafiq Kamal to play freely then in the fourth and fifth game and comprehensively won the last 2 games by 11-6 and 11-5 and seize the title of Malaysian Tour-II squash tournament.

After winning the title he applauded Pakistan Squash Federation for trusting in his abilities and for giving him a chance to play at international level.
