All-Pakistani final as Ali, Asim win semifinals of Men's Squash Malaysian Tour No-1

Syed Ali Mujtaba Shah Bukhari and Asim Khan qualified for the final of Malaysian squash tour 1 played at Seri Menanti, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia.

Ali Bukhari and Asim Khan setup an all-Pakistani final by wining their semifinal matches of the $5000 Malaysian squash Tour No-1.

Qualifier Ali Bukhari defeated his opponent Muhd Hannan from Malaysia. Ali had a shaky start as he lost the first game but came back strongly to lead the match 2-1 by wining the second and third game comprehensively with a score of 11-7 and 11-3. The wild card Malaysian Muhd Hannan ceased the opportunity in the forth game as Ali looked a little causal to level the game at two games each. Ali regain his focus in the fifth game and after a tough battle, down his opponent by 11-8 to win the semifinal. The final score of the 47  minute  semi-final  was 7-11, 11-7, 11-4, 3-11, 11-8. 

Seventh seed Asim beat third seed Abhay Singh from India by 11-6, 8-11, 11-6, 11-6 in 36 minutes to reach the final. It’s a tremendous victory of Pakistan that both the Pakistani players will face each other to represent our country in the final of $5000 Malaysian Tour No-1 Tournament.
