Results:

              Vibrant Cyclist from Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC), Muhammad Rizwan bagged the title after narrowly toppling Faisullah from Afghanistan at the finish line.

Rizwan raced up to the finish line by clocking 1 hour 35 minutes and 44 seconds to clinch the trophy with Faiullah finishing just fraction of second behind. Hanzala Khan of Bikestan grabbed the third position.

Background:

                      After a gap of seven months due to COVID-19 pandemic, Pakistan Cycling Federation (PCF) in collaboration with Pakbicycle.com and Pakistan Sports Board(PSB) organized an International Cycle Race from Islamabad to Murree in which 110 high-spirited cyclists from Afghanistan and Pakistan have participated.

The one-day event featured competitions in Men Elite and Men’s Open categories where cyclists from Islamabad, all affiliated units and four provinces were showcased their talent in the race to achieve top honors in the event.

Pakistan Cycling Federation General Secretary Syed Azhar Ali Shah told to ‘Khilari’ that the meetup for all the participants have set as Jinnah Stadium, Islamabad where the ride was started at 09:30 AM and finished at the destination which was Murree.

Riders who wished to take part in the Men’s open category race were to pay an entry fee of Rupees 2000 only.

The federation had formed a three-member committee for the event which included Islamabad Cycling Association Secretary Haroon General, PCF secretary Nisar Ahmed and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Association secretary Muhammad Ali.
