Defence Futsal Club (DFC) to hold Winter Futsal Series Chapter 3

The third edition of Winter Futsal Series will be hosted by Defence Futsal Club (DFC) which will roll into action from tomorrow at Garrison Park in Peshawar.

Defence Futsal Club (DFC) is set to hold the DFC Winter Futsal Tournament into the current year which will mark its third successful edition and is scheduled to kick off tomorrow at 05:00 PM sharp.

This five a side tournament will not allow studs and participants are asked to wear grippers.

All the matches will be played under Standard Futsal Rules where the referee's decision would be considered final on the field. 

Knockout format will be followed for the whole tournament where several teams will be take part. Players from each team will be seen competing against each other with all their skills, so as to earn the ultimate title of the tournament. 

Registrations are still open for which this number can be contacted: 0334-7797776 and the fee has been set at 2000 rupees, no concession is offered on entry fee and the teams not willing to pay in full will not be entertained.


NEW SET OF RULES 

* Free kick and kick in changes:

1. A 3-step wall in freekicks will be changed to a 5-step wall , better mirroring of the free kicks as in official futsal.
2. All players of the defending team must be behind the wall during free kicks.
3. The defending team has to be 3-steps behind the ball during a kick-in.

* Goalkeeper changes:

1. Introducing goal throws (an official futsal rule) that allows goalkeepers to take goal kicks using either their hands or feet.
2. The goalkeeper cannot play a long ball over the half-way line using a throw. He can do it using a kick only.

Amendments to the rules could be done at any point during the tournament by the host team if necessary while all the rules will be explained to all the captains before the game starts.
