Pakistani Punjab Kabaddi team to play a 3-match series against Iran
A 22-member Punjab Kabaddi Team left for Iran to play a three-match series against the National Team of Iran in Tabriz city of Iran.
Secretary Pakistan Kabaddi Federation, Rana Sarwar at a press conference along with Sports Board Punjab Director, Shahid Nizami at National Hockey Stadium announced that Pakistan's Punjab Kabaddi Team would be featuring in a three-match series against the National Team of Iran.
The Pakistani team left on Friday and will also take part in joint kabaddi training camp before the series where the players would enhance their skills so as to emerge winner in this series.
Meanwhile, PKF Secretary also said that Pakistan Kabaddi Federation would hold the second edition of the Premier Kabaddi League next year, which was originally to be held this year but due to two major sports event i.e National Games (October) and South Asian Games (December) scheduled to be organised this year, made it impossible for the Federation to hold the league in the same year.
He further said that Pakistan was still a candidate to hold the next World Cup, claiming India would not get the hosting rights.
Also present at the press conference were: Punjab Kabaddi Association Secretary, Tahir Waheed Jatt, Assistant Director, Raeesur Rehman and Fatima Fertilizers Brand Manager, Mohammad Mubeen.
