64th National Track Cycling Championship from 15th Dec.

A total of nine (9) teams are to vie in the 64th National Men and Women Cycling Championship which is scheduled to be held from December 15th to 18th at Qaddafi Stadium Cycling Velodram in Lahore.

Pakistan Cycling Federation (PCF) with the collaboration of SSGC Sports Board is organizing the 64th edition of National Men and Women Cycling Championship which will feature competitions in both Senior and Junior categories. 

A total of nine teams belonging to 4 provinces and 5 departments of Pakistan will be seen racing through the crowd along with other participants to achieve top honors in the championship. The event will have nine Senior (Men/Women) and three Junior cycling events.

Participating teams are namely stated below:
1. Sindh
2. Punjab
3. Baluchistan
4. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
5. Islamabad
6. Army
7. WAPDA
8. PO Wah and
9. SSGC

Syed Azhar Ali Shah, Secretary General Pakistan Cycling Federation (PCF) informed that an organizing committee has been formed which includes Mr. Moazzam Khan Klair, President Punjab Cycling Association who will be the chairman and he himself will be the Organizing Secretary of the championship.

He also said PCF is holding national level cycling events on regular basis, both for men and women, under its game development programme to expand the base of cycling and to have a pool of promising riders for forming national squads to represent the country in international events abroad.

"The competition will help in identifying new cycling talent, specially women who are taking keen interest to take up cycling as a sport", he added.
