Franchises pick players in SKL-1 draft at Lahore

Strawberry Sports Management Company has announced the team and players names that participating in the first edition of Super Kabaddi League 2018. Every team has picked 10 local players each that includes 2 players in platinum category, 7 players in gold category and 1 foreign player.

The event was held in collaboration with Strawberry Sports Management Company and Pakistan Kabaddi Federation. Drafting was completed in a local hotel at Lahore where official kits of the teams were also unveiled in a ceremony. Around 125 players were named in the initial drafting where team officials of SKL-1 have picked 100 players out of them.  10 international and 90 local players will be seen in action from May 2 to 10 at Lahore.

10 international players were picked for the first edition of SKL that includes 5 Iranian, 2 each from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and 1 Malaysian player. Founder of Super Kabaddi League, Haider Ali Dawood was off the view that SKL will not only benefit players and coaches financially but it will also help to unveil new talent for Pakistan.

Coaches were also announced throw ballot before the start of players drafting. Tournament Anthem was also released before the players drafting.
