Omar, Yousuf crowned the Champions of Kashmir Day Cycle Race 2021

Omar Farooq of Mardan claimed the title of Kashmir Day Cycle Race while Sajjad Ali Khan and Abdullah secured second and third position respectively in the Kashmir Solidarity Day Cycle Race held at Northern Bypass.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Cycling Association in collaboration with the Directorate of Sports, jointly organized the Kashmir Solidarity Day Cycle Race, which concluded successfully at Northern Bypass, Ring Road Peshawar.

More than 110 cyclists showcased their skills in the senior and junior categories.

The senior race covered a distance of 28 km in which Omar Farooq of Mardan claimed the first spot with a time of 42:35sec while Sajjad Ali Khan of Peshawar stood second with a time of 42:40sec and Abdullah of Peshawar finished at third with a time of 42:43sec.

In 14 km junior category race, cyclists from different clubs of Peshawar participated in which Yousuf of Sajid Cycling Club won first place while Waris second and Waheed of Noorabad Club third.

Member Provincial Assembly Asif Khan distributed prizes among the athletes along with President of Pakistan Cycling Federation Syed Azhar Ali Shah, Secretary General and President of Provincial Cycling Association Nisar Ahmed, Technical Officers Murad Ali, Iftikhar Awan, Murtaza, Muhammad Hassan, Bilal and other important personalities were also present there.
