Turkish Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter, Fatih Aktas (5-3) will take on Swedish counterpart Irman Smajic in a Heavyweight bout at BraveCF: 37 on August 1st, in Stockholm, Sweden.

30-years-old Fatih is considered as one of the top prospects of Turkish MMA who had recently fought in Italy against a very tough opponent 'Matteo Riccetti' and knock him out in a second round.

Irman Smajic is a Swedish MMA fighter of Bosnian descent who has won the Swedish Championships, European Championships and World Championships in amateur MMA. 37 years old Smajic did not start training MMA until 2013 when he, heavily overweight at 155.5 kg, stepped into the martial arts centre in Linköping and wanted to do something about it.

While talking about the upcoming match, the fighter said:

“I am thankful to Brave Combat Federation for this opportunity and InshaAllah I will not disappoint my country. I respect my opponent and I have seen his fights, he is a big strong guy but he never faced a guy like me.

“I know he is a great standup guy and love to hit hard but I am prepared for him,” Fatih said.

Fatih has been training with some Dagestani/Chechen fighters for this fight. Praising the efforts of his coaches, training partners and manager the fighter said that all this would not be possible without Arif Aktas, my teammates Arbi Mezhidov, Ibo Aslan, Sado Ucar, Aleksander Rakic and my manager Muhammad Rizvan Ali who are taking care of us as athletes and he won’t disappoint the team.
